Sunday 2nd June KECC U11 LOST v Reading SCORECARD
Glorious sunshine met an enthusiastic KECC U11 team at Gallowstree Common this Sunday under the captaincy of Aaryaa.  Reading U11s were known to have more experience across their team, and with three of our players stepping out for their first ever cricket match, we knew we had a fun morning ahead, but also that it would also be a test and a great learning experience.  Reading won the toss and elected to bat.  Ambrose and Oliver opened the bowling with assured deliveries that kept Reading's 1st pair relatively contained.  Focussed fielding from Kidmore End then controlled the number of runs from Reading, who benefitted more from a scattering of no balls and wides.  Aaryaa claimed the first wicket in the 12th over, swiftly followed by another explosion of the bales in the 13th by Noah.  Seb induced a dramatic self-inflicted hit wicket in the 16th, with Reading's tail end pair dismissed by Oliver in the 18th over and a second wonderful wicket from Noah in the 20th.  A solid innings from the visitors, ending on 298 after finding the boundary 7 times and benefitting from many extras that we'll be able to address as we continue to train this summer.

Ambrose and Barnaby opened our batting and found it tough to score off Reading's balls, succumbing to 3 wickets.  This trend continued and while Reading's bowlers were a mixed bag, delivering some helpful wides and no balls, by the end of the match they'd claimed 7 wickets and our batters had found it tough to run more than singles.  Kidmore End's final score was 215 but there were many great actions and impressive efforts from our team and heads were rightfully held high at the end of a fantastic match.

Sunday 2nd June KECC U9 LOST v SCORECARD
Sunday 2nd June KECC U15 115/7 WON v Falkland U15 112/7 SCORECARD
