Safeguarding

Welfare and Safeguarding

Kidmore End Cricket Club follows the procedures and guidance set out by the England and Wales Cricket Board and Local Safeguarding Children’s Board.

Safeguarding goes beyond the contributions made to child protection in relation to individual children. Our objective is to provide a safe environment for all young people to practice and play cricket and reach their full potential.

Kidmore End Cricket Club is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

This means that we have a Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy and procedures in place which we refer to.  All officials and members of the club must ensure that they are aware of these procedures. Links to these policies are below along with the contact details of our Welfare Officer.

Kidmore End Cricket Club is also an ECB Clubmark Club and we have held this accreditation since 2007. This means that the ECB recognises that we are a ‘safe, effective and child friendly’ club. As a member of  Kidmore End CC you are guaranteed that we have a base  level of quality in all areas of Health and Safety,  Child Welfare and Protection.

The club also actively encourages young cricketers to make the transition from junior and school cricket to senior club cricket. In achieving Clubmark status we are also recognised as having a proven track record in administration, player and facility development. The Clubmark award recognises the professionalism and our excellent conduct across many different areas of junior cricket.

This means we expect our members to treat everyone equally, display high standards of behaviour, promote the positive aspects of cricket e.g. fair play and above all enjoy playing our great game.
